RemoCam

Terms of Service

Effective 30 August 2026 · Last updated 30 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and RemoCam, a sole proprietorship based in North Carolina, United States ("RemoCam", "we"), covering the RemoCam web app, the iOS and Android apps, and the services behind them. Using RemoCam means you accept them.

Who may use RemoCam

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for the devices you sign in on and for everything done through your account. Keep your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in as you can see your cameras.

What RemoCam is — and is not

RemoCam turns your own devices into cameras and viewers. It is a monitoring convenience, not a life-safety, medical, or security service. It has no monitoring centre, no emergency dispatch, and no guaranteed availability. Do not use it as the only safeguard for anything where failure would cause harm — a person needing medical supervision, a premises needing alarm response, or a child needing direct care.

Delivery depends on your devices, their power and screen state, your networks, and third-party infrastructure. Camera devices must stay awake and in the foreground. Sessions can drop.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use RemoCam to:

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules, and we may report unlawful conduct where required.

Your content

Your video, audio, clips, and camera settings remain yours. You grant us only the narrow licence needed to operate the service for you: storing your configuration, relaying connection data between your devices, and — on paid plans — storing and serving back the cloud clips you create. We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it, and do not train models on it.

Plans, billing, and renewals

If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play in future, that store's billing and refund rules govern the purchase and you manage it there.

Refunds

Contact support@remo.cam for a refund request. We honour refunds required by the law that applies to you, including statutory cancellation rights. Outside those, refunds are at our discretion — we generally refund an unused period when the service failed to work as described.

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a new subscription. Because the service starts immediately, you ask us to begin during that period; if you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the price less a proportionate amount for the time already supplied.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, we will refund the unused portion. We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect, and continued use afterwards accepts them.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using RemoCam and delete your account at any time; see the deletion instructions. We may suspend or end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where the law requires it.

Disclaimers

Except where the law does not allow it, RemoCam is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, RemoCam is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, for lost profits or data, or for any loss arising from a missed event, a failed alert, a dropped session, or property damage or theft that monitoring did not prevent. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 50 USD.

Consumers keep every right their local law gives them; these limits apply only so far as that law permits.

Indemnity

You will cover our reasonable losses arising from your unlawful use of the service, in particular claims by a person you recorded without the consent the law required.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, and disputes belong to the state and federal courts located in North Carolina, without affecting any right you have to bring proceedings where you live.
